Badminton. The sports that hubby and I enjoyed playing the most since we were single and up to now. Since my mother was with us hubby and I grab the chance of playing badminton. And last Saturday we were able to play for the first time after our last play a year ago back in Manila. We played at Arnold’s place, hubby’s officemate. We had fun playing with some of Arnold’s friends. We had four round play of mix-double. After a tiring yet exciting badminton play we ate a very sumptuous snack cooked by Jheng (Arnold’s wife), a pancit-palabok and ginatang halo-halo (mixed fruits in sweet coconut milk) – both Filipino dish. Thanks Jheng cooking and preparing the food, it was so filling and super delicious. Until the next game guys.
Maintaining the balance in our married life is one of the things we are taking care of and playing our favourite sports helps maintain the balance. Playing badminton is something that hubby and I want to do after a busy week of doing our role as husband and wife and as parents so to speak and we both find enjoyment and satisfaction in it. The pleasure it gives is incomparable not only for our relationship but for ourselves as an individual. And at the same time it’s one of the venues to interact and mingle with friends.
Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.
