The 15th President

Today, 30th of June 2010 is the inauguration of 15th president of The Republic of the Philippines, my country. Benigno Aquino, III. or commonly known as "Noynoy" is the only son of the late-hero Benigno Aquino Jr. and late-former President Corazon Aquino. The inauguration will be held at Quirino Grandstand, Luneta, Manila where most of the presidents of the Philippines held ceremony. And today is declared as special non-working holiday in the Philippines.

Similar to Barrack Obama, Noynoy offers a change. Change in governance, leadership and system. As a Filipino I am with the nation rejoicing to that fact Gloria Arroyo is no longer in power. But there is hesitation both in my mind and heart on his capacity to lead. But as other people says, let's give him a chance and we see from there. I am hoping and praying that he can bring good governance that is free from corruption and abuse of power.

We see a year or two from now what the 15th president of the Philippines can do.

With Pres. B. Aquino, III, I have doubts and like you very unsure of his ability to lead. He just doesn't strike me as the one who can propel change. I could be wrong, and I hope I am.
